WA-RISE is building a community where homelessness is addressed through collaboration, compassion, and coordinated action.
Rather than providing direct services ourselves, we bring together the people, organizations, businesses, faith communities, and government partners who can make a meaningful difference. By working together, we can identify gaps, share resources, reduce duplication, and create lasting solutions that no single organization could accomplish alone.
Our current priorities include:
Helping our community better understand homelessness by reducing stigma, sharing accurate information, and highlighting the real stories behind housing insecurity.
Connecting nonprofits, businesses, faith organizations, schools, and local government to improve communication, collaboration, and coordinated support.
Making it easier for individuals, families, and service providers to find the information and resources they need through shared communication and resource development.
Encouraging conversations and advocacy around the root causes of homelessness—including affordable housing, transportation, employment, healthcare, domestic violence, and other barriers to stability.
Creating opportunities for residents to get involved through coalition meetings, volunteer opportunities, donation drives, educational events, and community initiatives.
As a young coalition, we’re focused on building a strong foundation for lasting change. Every new partner, volunteer, conversation, and collaborative effort helps move us closer to a community where everyone has the opportunity to live with stability, dignity, and hope.
As our initiatives grow, we’ll continue to share updates, milestones, and the impact we’re making together.
